2025 Annual Function Preview
Anand Niketan Annual Function Celebrated the Timeless Teachings of the Mahabharat
The students of Grades 4 to 6 at Anand Niketan Satellite Campus took to the stage with grace, spirit, and deep thought in this year’s Annual Function, themed - The Timeless Teachings of the Mahabharat on Wednesday , 23rd April ‘25 at AUDA auditorium, Shela .
The grand event unfolded as a vibrant and engaging smorgasbord of dance, drama, and music, bringing ancient wisdom to life through the eyes of young learners.
The event was a grand spectacle and a journey through the epic of varied incidents of the Mahabharat — not just as a story of war, but a rich tapestry of morals, dilemmas, and life lessons.
Through creatively scripted performances, students portrayed key characters like Yudhishthir (truth), Arjun (focus), Draupadi (strength), Karna (generosity), Krishna (wisdom), and Duryodhan (ego and ambition), encouraging the audience to reflect on the choices we make in life and the values that guide them.
Each act and story was interwoven with powerful classical and contemporary dance sequences and soulful musical performances that echoed the emotion and gravity of the stories. Students endeavoured to explore the themes of dharma (duty), justice, loyalty, humility, and inner conflict, creating a dialogue between the past and the present.
The programme was more than an annual celebration—it was a reflection of how ancient Indian epics continue to offer guidance in modern times.
In this era ridden by socio emotional issues like bullying , anger issues , lack of empathy and social media addiction , this musical drama came as a breath of fresh air , inspiring a spark of hope for a better place and a happier world.
