Anand Niketan School Celebrates Annual Function Inspired by the Teachings of the Srimad Bhagavatam

Anand Niketan School recently hosted its grand Annual Function, Yugaantar - The exodus of virtues , showcasing the talents of students from Grades 7 to 12 in a vibrant celebration deeply rooted in the timeless wisdom of the Srimad Bhagavatam. The event, held in the AUDA hall in Shela with the gracious presence of parents, educators, and distinguished guests, was a resounding success and left a lasting impression on all who attended.

Drawing inspiration from stories found in the Srimad Bhagavatam—personified values such as humility , tolerance , selflessness , sacrifice of ego and perseverance —brought to life a rich tapestry of performances through dance, drama, music, and multimedia presentations. Each performance reflected the spiritual essence of the text while creatively connecting it to modern-day challenges and values.

Highlights included a dramatic retelling of the story of Dhruva’s unwavering faith and perseverance , King Ranti Deva’s selflessness, Sudama’s tolerance  and Bali Maharaj ‘s sacrifice of ego  through evocative dance drama presentations and their relevance in today’s fast-paced world. The students’ performances not only demonstrated their artistic abilities but also their deep understanding of the philosophical and moral teachings of the scripture.

Shri Vivek Patel , Trustee of Anand Niketan commended the efforts of the students and staff, stating, “This year’s annual function was more than a celebration—it was a spiritual journey led by our children. The teachings of the Srimad Bhagavatam are universal and timeless, and our students presented them with grace, creativity, and clarity.”
