Physics Lab

Anand Niketan Satellite Campus boasts of sophisticated laboratories with the latest state-of-the art facilities that equip the students to have a hands on experience. The Flat-topped tables used as student workstations allow multiple arrangements and combinations for laboratory work and small-group activities.

The physics lab is fully equipped with apparatus ranging from the commonly found lens, magnet, beam balance, spring balance and glass prism to the advanced apparatus like voltmeter, ammeter and resistors and spectrometers to name a few.. Furthermore, the spacious physics lab is designed in a way to accommodate students comfortably.

It works towards reinforcing the knowledge acquired in the theory class by emphasizing on the fundamental concepts of Physics. It aids the students understanding of using lab equipment. Moreover, it makes them realize the importance of direct observation as compared to inference based on theory. It helps the students develop a broad array of basic skills, especially experimental and analytical skills, and a general understanding of the tools of experimental physics and data analysis.

Biology Lab

"Without theory, practice is but routine born of habit. Theory alone can bring forth and develop the spirit of invention. … [Do not] share the opinion of those narrow minds who disdain everything in science which has not an immediate application. … A theoretical discovery has but the merit of its existence: it awakens hope, and that is all. But let it be cultivated, let it grow, and you will see what it will become." - Louis Pasteur

Biologists recognize that knowledge based upon experimental results and accurate observations is gained through a variety of experiences. Thus, the role of the laboratory and field learning becomes a key component in understanding biology. Laboratory, field activities and inquiries provide students with opportunities to question, observe, sample, experience, and experiment with scientific phenomena in their quest for knowledge of living things. The intricately designed Biology Laboratory is planned to meet the demands of the advancement in science and technology. The marble worktops are heat resistant and storage cabinets are easily accessible. The laboratory apparatus ranges from simple slides, test-tubes, petridishes, bunsen burners, beakers and flasks to the composite microscopes of varying powers to observe samples and organisms closely. They are high-powered, extremely expensive, and sensitive pieces of equipment that can make even the smallest parts of a single cell seem clear. All the microscopes are provided with digital eyepieces with built in 10 x cameras are a great way to preview live colour digital images directly from microscope to the computer via a USB port.

Besides the aforesaid the laboratory also has charts, models and specimens meant for demonstrations. The exhaust system efficiently sustains a comfortable environment in the room even while performing experiments requiring chemicals that let out fumes. The laboratory is expansive and does not restrict any kind of movement needed while working in groups or during demonstrations.

Chemistry Lab

The avant-garde Chemistry Laboratory provides a platform for students to nurture the budding scientists within them.

The Lab is provided with the state-of-the art devices like-Fume hood, Distillation unit, Electronic weighing machine, Concealed gas line and the safety devices such as Firefighting equipment, First- Aid Kit etc. The acids and other reactive chemicals are stored in separate cupboards as a further precautionary measure. The students are provided with separate workstations with individual burners and plug points. The apparatus includes the commonplace strikers, mortar and pestle, clay triangles, watch glasses, crucibles, crucible tongs, chemical spoon, stirring rods, filter funnels and a variety of stoppers.

Computer Lab

The school has three spacious computer labs. The entire campus is networked and INTRANET facility is provided for various tasks pertaining to the daily routines. This finally has turned the campus into a paperless environment. The school also has Internet facility for the staff and the students.

Computer science is taught as a subject right from Grade 3 onwards. The students of these classes are taught various software modules on different networks and different Operating systems as given below.
